DUBAI: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram Live to host a question and answer session with World Health Organization experts on Tuesday, who replied to frequently asked questions about coronavirus.
During the 45-minute session, Chopra asked the experts, Dr. Tedros and Maria Van Kerkhove, if people can get COVID-19 again after they’ve recovered, to which Van Kerkhove replied: “We don’t have the full picture of this virus. We know that more than 100,000 people of the 400,000 cases have recovered. We are expecting that people who do get infected will develop an immune response.”
Van Kerkhove also addressed recent rumors about the virus being airborne, countering that “this virus is spread through droplets.”
“Every single person has a role to play in this fight. Just by washing your hands with water or using an alcohol rub, you are protecting yourself and others,” the experts added.
